Welcome to the Artistic Society Club!

The Club was established in 2007 but it has already actively participated in many local and international events. The latest are shown on the News and Events page.

We are proud to present our current board members:

Petrouchka Alexieva, President

Outstanding Senior Student Award - 2007, BA in Anthropology. She is currently student representative for Phi Kappa Phi, member of Golden Key International Honor Society, Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
In Winter 2007, Ms. Alexieva founded the Artistic Society Club (ASC), boosting the spirit of the academic performance and inspiring student in creativity and leadership beyond the boundaries of CSULA campus. The club was awarded with “The New Student Organization of the Year”. For the first time delegation of tree club members participated at the 3rd International Child Art Festivals in Washington, DC, 2007.  For her and her fellow co-students, ASC presents a great opportunity to work for the promotion of gifted and talented young people not only from our community, but also worldwide. As a club president, she is doing her best to organize an Ethnic Creativity International Art Exhibit 2008 in CSULA campus on a theme that can relate to every person on Earth: "Let’s Celebrate Ethnic Traditions: This Is Who I am".

Matthew Patrick French
Matthew Patrick French - Vice President

Since coming to CalState LA and studying anthropology, Matthew has excelled academically.  After years of adequate grades and mediocre interest, he has achieved a 4.0 grade point average and been on the Dean’s List for each of his first four quarters at CSULA.  He credits his success to both the maturity and perspective that coming back to school at a later age has given him, as well as his passion for a subject that he really enjoys studying.
